Hosokawa Micron Powder Systems provides size reduction systems and powder processing solutions for chemical, pharmaceutical, food, mineral, plastics, and cosmetic applications. Throughout our history, we have led the industry in coarse to ultra-fine grinding, classification, mixing, drying, containment, compaction, and analytical equipment.

As a Mechanical Assembler, you will be responsible for assemblies as well as the complete equipment, of which, the sub-assemblies will go into it in a way that meets the Quality standards of HMPS. Will perform dynamic tests on critical assemblies before shipping to customers to ensure Quality standards are being maintain.

Job Duties:

• Assembly of equipment and sub-assemblies
• Disassemble, inspect and perform repairs to customers’ assemblies
• Perform dynamic tests on critical assemblies before shipping to customers
• Participate in all mandated company training classes
• Operating lifting devices in a safe manner (forklifts, overhead hoists).
• Assist Shop or Service personnel as necessary
• Maintain a clean and safe work environment

Skills:

• The ability to interpret assembly drawings in order to assemble components as part of a complete mill is essential
• Knowledge of proper bearing and seal installation, a plus

Requirements:

• 2 years previous experience building mechanical rotating assemblies using sound shop practices
• Needs to provide own toolbox and own SAE & Metric tools; company to provide specialty and power tools when necessary

Education:

• High School Diploma or equivalent
• Tech School preferred
